All-New Notification Center for Instant Updates

Updated on January 17, 2025 by Ekaterina Tumashik

Real time alerts in one hub

Track-POD has upgraded its alert notifications. The latest update lets delivery managers customize alerts through a unified Notification Center. This new feature keeps users informed of all important changes on their routes.

Managers often struggle to find specific updates without a structured system. Critical alerts, like order cancellations or vehicle issues, can get lost in the clutter of notifications. With Track-POD, notices are automatically grouped by the route and displayed instantly in the Notification Center.

How to Use Notification Center Features

To customize your notification experience in Track-POD, start by opening the Settings tab on the Web Panel. Here are easy-to-configure Notification Preferences designed to meet common operational needs. You can subscribe to five types of alerts to keep your team in sync. New fields will be added in the future—stay tuned for our software updates!

Why Delivery Notifications Make a Difference

The latest update allows Track-POD users to customize notifications and get instant alerts in a single location. This enhancement creates a more intuitive workflow and clarify the delivery process.

Key Benefits:

  • Awareness about specific events and statuses 24/7
  • Real-time issue resolution to prevent downtime
  • Improved communication between drivers and dispatchers
  • Filtering by notification types
  • Quick re-planning for canceled or unexpected orders

Filtering by notification types

The scenarios below illustrate how timely and accurate alerts help prevent minor problems from escalating into major disruptions.

Case 1. Order Not Delivered/Not Collected

Imagine a courier arriving at a delivery point to find the site closed or the order undeliverable due to unforeseen circumstances. The driver can quickly notify the dispatcher through the Delivery Driver App. The notification instantly appears on the Web Panel for immediate action. The delivery manager can then replan the route, contact the recipient, or reschedule the delivery without delay.

Case 2: Order Cancelled

Clients sometimes cancel orders while the courier is en route. Last-minute changes need immediate action to prevent confusion and wasted time. Through Track-POD managers can quickly notify drivers of updates, shift the delivery for another day or close the order.

This type of alert is sent from the Web Panel by the dispatcher. The driver receives the notification instantly on their App, and the update is also reflected in the Notification Center.

Case 3. Delivery Instructions Updated

Dispatchers often revise instructions during a route, such as changing the delivery time or address. To prevent drivers from going to the original location, the notification center ensures timely updates through live tracking, keeping both drivers and managers informed in real time.

To add details about delivery, simply navigate to the selected route, choose the Live Tracking option, and tap to input the delivery instructions.

Case 4. New Order from Shipper (3PL)

Track-POD equips powerful tools for third-party logistics (3PL) providers through a private portal. Similar to the general web panel, the 3PL dashboard is tailored for partners, showing only their activities. 3PL providers can send unplanned shipments from their accounts and instantly notify all participants.

For instance, a shipper can assign a new order to the fleet even while drivers are already on the routes. An instant notification is sent to the Web Panel, alerting the delivery manager. The dispatcher can then drag and drop the new order into the selected route, and the driver will promptly receive the updated route details.

Case 5. Vehicle Check Issue Reported

Alerts about vehicle conditions are now included in the updated Notification Center. This feature was introduced in Track-POD's major update in early 2025. Dispatchers can activate instant messages about mechanical problems directly in the settings. This functionality relates to the existing Vehicle Check section. When drivers identify an issue during a routine inspection, they can report it directly through the Delivery Driver App.

With instant notifications, delivery managers can address mechanical problems by scheduling repairs or deploying a backup vehicle. Also, the dispatchers can customize inspection fields such as oil level, tire pressure, interior damage, and more. Once all requirements are confirmed, the status is promptly updated on the web panel.
