Track-POD’s Vehicle Check exists to keep your fleet safe and compliant. Designed for fleet managers who demand reliability, our solution ensures drivers complete every critical check before and after routes. How Vehicle Checks work in Track-POD

Activate and configure in seconds:

1. Go to Settings > Vehicle Check
   • Toggle Enable to activate the feature and reveal advanced configuration options. From now on, your system has vehicle checks.
2. Set global parameters:
   • Signature Required: Prevents submission of a check unless drivers sign off — ensuring accountability.
   • Mandatory Check before Starting Route: Enforces a pre-departure inspection to verify vehicle readiness.
   • Mandatory Check before Closing Route: Requires a post-route check to document any issues after transit.

! Use these settings to make sure every vehicle leaves the depot in prime condition and returns with all issues flagged for immediate attention.

Below these global settings, manage individual Vehicle Checks by clicking Add to create a new check or Edit an existing one. 

Choose when the check occurs:

• Prior to Route: Is the machine ready for the route?
• After Route: What condition did it come back in?
• Before and after

For each, configure whether the check is mandatory, if a photo attachment is needed, and — if applicable — enable Numerical value to:

• Define the measurement type.
• Set Minimum and Maximum acceptable values.
• Establish warning levels:
  • Warning
  • Critical

This flexibility means you can tailor inspections to your exact operational needs — whether it’s checking tire pressure, engine oil levels, or other vital metrics.

Individual Vehicle Checks Dashboard

Once activated, a dedicated Vehicle Check menu appears on your web dashboard — offering instant, real-time insights into every inspection submitted via our mobile app.

This dashboard lets you quickly pinpoint trends, catch recurring issues, and schedule maintenance before small problems become costly repairs.

• Inspection Details:
  • Numerical values
  • Driver comments
  • Attached pictures

You can also download a detailed report by clicking the Reports button. Although photos aren’t included, the report captures all other key details — ensuring a complete audit trail.

Download and share those reports across and even beyond your organization with agencies and companies that need to monitor the driver's vehicle checks.

Vehicle Check for Drivers

Your drivers will perform vehicle checks directly from the mobile app. By tapping the upper-right menu and selecting Vehicle Check, they’re guided through a step-by-step inspection process aligned with your settings.

• Let them add a comment to explain how the vehicle check went. Then, when you see it in the dashboard, you'll know immediately what's going on.
• If a signature or photo is required, the app won’t let them proceed until they comply.
• A bold red Issue button lets drivers flag any problems immediately.

Real-Time Notifications for Failed Checks

To keep your fleet running smoothly, Track-POD delivers real-time alerts when a vehicle check fails. A dedicated Vehicle Check Failed notification appears in your dashboard’s upper-right corner — prompting immediate attention.
